The local KTEL bus is the only public transport from Mykonos Airport (JMK). It follows an hourly schedule, about 09:15–22:15 in summer, with fares of only €1–€3, and serves two destinations: Fabrika (the South Station in Mykonos Town / Chora) and the New Port at Tourlos. There is no night bus — after the last departure your only option is a taxi or a pre-booked transfer.
Despite the page name, there is no private "airport shuttle" operated by the airport itself — the public KTEL bus is the shuttle. A few luxury hotels arrange their own pickups, so check your booking; otherwise the bus, a taxi, or a booked transfer are your three ways into town. Mykonos Airport bus schedule (2026)
KTEL runs the airport line on an hourly pattern in high season. As a rule of thumb, departures from the airport leave at quarter past the hour, and departures to the airport leave Fabrika on the hour:

First bus ≈ 09:15, last bus ≈ 22:15 from the airport in summer. Outside the May–October peak the timetable is cut back sharply (fewer runs, earlier last bus), so in winter always confirm the day's schedule before relying on it. Journey time and where to catch it
The ride from the airport to Fabrika takes about 15–25 minutes depending on traffic — Mykonos Town is only around 4 km away. The bus stop at JMK is right outside the arrivals exit; look for the KTEL sign and the printed timetable posted there, and buy your ticket on board rather than in advance. In peak season the single airport bus can fill up quickly, so join the queue a few minutes before the scheduled departure, especially with large luggage.
Which bus to take: Town (Fabrika) or New Port
When you board at the airport you choose between two directions depending on where you're staying.
Take a Fabrika-bound bus (South Station, in Mykonos Town) if your accommodation is in:
- Central or southern Mykonos Town (Chora)
- Platis Gialos, Psarrou or the southern beaches
- Ornos or Agios Ioannis
- Paradise Beach and Paraga
From Fabrika you connect to the rest of the island on KTEL's onward routes — it's the island's main hub. Those services run frequently in season: from Fabrika, buses reach Platis Gialos, Paradise, Ornos, Elia and Kalafatis roughly every 20–60 minutes. So even if your hotel isn't on a direct airport route, a single change at Fabrika gets you almost anywhere on Mykonos for a few euros.
Take a New Port-bound bus if you're heading straight to a ferry. The New Port at Tourlos handles ferries to other islands and the mainland; the Old Port in town is only for Delos excursion boats (see New Port vs Old Port to avoid the common mix-up). These departures are timed loosely around the main ferry waves rather than a strict hourly clock, so if you have a boat to catch, build in a buffer or take a taxi for a tight connection.

Tips to avoid missing the bus
- Mind the last bus (≈22:15). Many flights land after the last departure — if yours does, plan for a taxi or transfer, not the bus.
- Allow for delays. Even in summer, airport buses are often a few minutes late and can fill up; arrive at the stop early in peak season.
- Have euro coins ready. It speeds up boarding and avoids card issues.
- Confirm the direction. Ask the driver "Fabrika?" or "New Port?" before boarding — the two routes leave from the same airport stop.
- Winter travellers: service is minimal off-season — verify the day's runs before counting on the bus.
