Mykonos Airport (JMK)

The Brand-new Restored Mykonos International Airport Τurns a New Page

Mykonos Airport is Modern, Refreshed, and Ready

Mykonos International Airport (JMK) is the international aviation hub of one of the world’s most iconic island destinations. Located just 4 km (2.5 miles) from Mykonos Town (Chora), the airport serves millions of visitors arriving to experience the island’s cosmopolitan lifestyle. Today, JMK ranks as the 10th busiest airport in Greece, having welcomed nearly 1.7 million passengers in 2022.

Until recently, Mykonos Airport was a small regional facility offering only basic services, which were often insufficient during peak season. This changed in 2015, when JMK joined the Fraport Greece network. Since then, the airport has undergone a complete renovation. While it remains compact, it is now fully modernized, technologically upgraded, and aligned with Mykonos’ upscale character. The terminal size was doubled, additional check-in counters and security lanes were added, and a stylish dining and shopping area was introduced.
